What is FRAGMENTA?

FRAGMENTA is a handcrafted floor lamp made from aluminium, mounted on a cymbal stand — repurposed hardware from a drum kit. The shade is composed of 20 trapezoidal panels assembled without glue — held together by the geometry of the structure itself. The interior is painted gold and fitted with a 2700K E27 Edison globe. It functions as a lamp and exists as a sculptural object.

What materials is it made from?

The shade uses 1mm and 2mm aluminium plates, cut with a waterjet cutter and hand-assembled in Zagreb. Exterior finish is matte black. Interior is sprayed gold (#C9A96E). The stand is a cymbal stand — repurposed drum hardware — steel, matte black, height-adjustable from 140 to 180cm.

How is the shade held together?

The frame is assembled mechanically — the structural parts lock together without adhesive. The aluminium panels are then welded to the frame by hand. The result is a rigid, permanent structure.

Is every lamp identical?

The dimensions and structure are the same for every unit. But because each lamp is assembled by hand, minor variations in weld texture, surface finish, and paint tone are inherent and expected. These are not defects — they are the mark of the process.

What bulb does it use?

E27 socket, max 40W. The lamp ships without a bulb. We recommend a 2700K Edison-style globe, 4–6W LED equivalent, for the intended visual effect.

Does it have a switch?

There is an inline on/off switch on the cable.

What are the dimensions?

Height: 140–180cm (adjustable via tripod). Shade diameter: approximately 40cm. Weight: approximately 4.5kg assembled.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

No. FRAGMENTA is designed for indoor use only.

How do I order?

Submit a reservation via the form on the main page. We'll confirm your production slot and send a payment link within 1–2 business days. Payment is processed via Stripe.

What is the price?

€390 including VAT. Shipping is calculated separately and shown at checkout before you pay.

How many units are available?

Production runs in small batches. Each unit is made individually — current lead time is approximately 10–14 days from payment. If the current batch is full, we'll let you know and add you to the next one.

Can I pay in instalments?

Not currently. Full payment is required to confirm your slot.

Do you issue invoices?

Yes. A VAT invoice is issued with every order. If you need specific details on the invoice (company name, VAT number), include them in your reservation message or write to hello@fragmenta.art.

What does personalisation mean?

One interior plate is hand-soldered with a serial number and the owner's name in the format: №001 / for [Name]. Every FRAGMENTA is entered into a permanent ownership registry: number, name, city, and date.

Is personalisation mandatory?

Yes — every unit is registered. You can provide a name, initials, a place, or any short text you want on the plate. If you don't specify, we'll use your first name from the order.

Can I order it as a gift?

Yes. In the reservation form, specify the recipient's name for the plate. We can ship directly to a gift address — just include it when we follow up to confirm.

Can the name be changed after the plate is soldered?

No. The engraving is permanent. Please double-check the name spelling before confirming your order.

Where do you ship?

We ship across the EU. Primary markets: Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Scandinavia. For destinations outside the EU, write to us before ordering — shipping is possible but needs individual arrangement.

How long does shipping take?

From Zagreb via tracked courier (DHL or equivalent):

Germany, Netherlands, Austria — 3–5 business days
Scandinavia, France, Belgium — 4–6 business days
Rest of EU — 5–8 business days

How is it packaged?

The lamp ships disassembled in a custom cardboard box with 30mm foam interior, cut to fit and spray-painted gold and black. Assembly on arrival takes under 10 minutes and requires no tools. An illustrated assembly guide is included; a short silent video walkthrough is available on request.

Will I get tracking?

Yes. Your tracking number is sent by email as soon as the parcel is handed to the carrier. We also send a short video of the packaging process at that point.

What if my parcel arrives damaged?

Contact us at hello@fragmenta.art within 7 days of delivery with photos. We'll sort it out.

Can I return it?

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Notify us within 14 days of receiving the lamp, return it in original condition, and we'll refund the purchase price. Return shipping is at your cost. Note: the personalised interior plate (serial number + name) is excluded from the right of withdrawal, as it is made to your specification. Full details in our Terms & Shipping.

What is covered by the warranty?

2-year legal guarantee against manufacturing defects under EU law. This covers structural and electrical faults under normal use. It does not cover damage from misuse, modification, or accidents. Handcraft variation in surface and finish is not a defect.

Something is wrong with my lamp. What do I do?

Write to hello@fragmenta.art with a description and photos. We respond within 2 business days and prefer to resolve things directly.
